When It's Time for a Fresh Start
This is a Website for you, in whatever State you may reside. We are here to address the entire process of divorce, the legal, the financial, the emotional and the spiritual.  It is not our intention to give you “The Answer” to any of those. We are here to try and give you enough background, context and knowledge to help you do that in the context of your own life and under the more specific laws of your own state. We call that being helpful.

We are not young people trying to carve out a financial niche.  We are experienced people who believe that you are entitled to know your alternatives and to make the best choices for yourselves.  We are people who believe that your dependency on your spouse or a "helping professional" can put you in the path of exploitation.  If that is your choice, fine.  If you choose otherwise, or at least aspire to choose otherwise,  we hope this web site will help give you a sense of the other choices you can make.  We hope this web site is a useful and good idea in this now not so new world of easily accessible ideas, information and communication.

Continued...
Here are some impressions: Almost 50% of every state court docket consists of “domestic” cases. Think about that…not in terms of the docket, but in terms of our changing society. Is divorce a “bad” thing? Maybe not. It is just a thing. But going through a divorce is a daunting experience, both financially and emotionally. We want to help on both fronts.

On the financial side, divorce is not just “getting a lawyer” and laying down a gauntlet. We will help you make decisions in a more informed way. What about mediation? What about collaborative law? What is the value of “yielding” to “keep the peace?” Should I or shouldn’t I?  Life is a lifelong trip. Have no regrets. See?  Nothing is simple.

In a practical sense, this web site will be written and edited by people with experience. Society calls it “expertise”.  It’s not.  It’s experience and a desire to share what we've learned.

We're going to leave this introduction up for awhile as a way of introducing ourselves and seeking your participation. In the end, it will be your participation that gives this web site it's greatest value.
